Happy Fruitful Friday Reader! A leap of faith, jumping off a cliff, or just taking a small stepHey Reader, Have you ever been asked by God to take a leap of faith? I wonder what that felt like for you. I haven't written many emails recently because I feel like I've been standing on the edge of a cliff, wondering whether to jump. The edge of a dream.Reader, the cliff might be the edge of a great future, but it feels scary. What if I jump and God isn't there to catch me? I know, I know, -it's easy to say He always catches us, but let's face it, the falling is what bothers us. Has God ever asked you to jump? Or, is He simply asking us to take a small step forward? These are things I've wrestled with over the past few months as I've determined whether I was supposed to run EA Books Publishing. Many of you know my journey writing children's books: The Little Pot, The Tea Pot, The Oil Lamp, and The Small Jar. Each story illustrates how we are vessels that the Potter loves and has a significant purpose for. As His vessel, I've allowed Him to fill and empty me. It has required me to say yes and take the next step in life. Lately, however, the steps have felt more like leaps and the risk has been greater. Therefore, I wrote a blog about what a leap of faith might feel like.
Honestly, writing the blog made me realize God wasn't asking me to jump as much as He was asking me to take another step forward. He promises to be a lamp unto our feet. That light is small, like in the story of The Oil Lamp. It shines only enough for us to see where to step. Over the past few years, God's been guiding my steps and leading me to EA Books Publishing. He did the same when He asked me to step into the role of school principal. I had no idea how to move forward, but He kept HIs promise and gave me what I needed when I needed it. I am trusting Him to do the same with EA Books. Your next step.As I wrote the blog, I thought about how scary it can be for authors to invest money in publishing their books. Publishing is expensive and a big investment. That can feel like a leap instead of a small step. The small step might be to schedule a call with me to discuss your options. Or, it might be to sit down every day and write more of your book. Maybe you're not an author, but you're facing another decision that is so big it requires a dangerous leap. You have a dream, but there's no way you are about to jump. Let me encourage you to take a small step forward, and let God guide you. He'll patiently show you a lamp for your feet and a light to the path. Reply and let me know about the path He is leading you down. It is always easier to walk with a friend. Stay Fruitful! Dawn, Little Pot, Tea Pot, Oil Lamp, and The Small Jar! Please reply if you would like the Potter's Vessels at your next event.
Additionally, if 2026 is the year YOU want to publish your book, I'd love to support you through EABooks Publishing. |
